Terms & conditions
The terms on which Yaalvi Direct supplies goods to retail and wholesale customers.
Last updated 2 October 2026
1. Who we are
These terms apply to all orders placed with Yaalvi Direct (“we”, “us”), of Northolt, London, UK. Registered in England & Wales, company number 16552753. VAT registration number GB723453785. You can reach us on +44 7480 451557 or at info@yaalvidirect.com.
2. Placing an order
Adding items to your basket is not an order. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, priced in error, or we cannot deliver to your address — and if we do, we will refund any payment in full.
3. Prices
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are those displayed at the time you order.
- Approved wholesale customers see trade prices across the catalogue. Wholesale pricing applies only while the account is approved and active.
- Where VAT applies it is shown separately at checkout and on your invoice. Most grocery items are zero-rated in the UK.
- We correct pricing errors when we find them. If a price was obviously wrong, we will contact you before proceeding rather than simply charging the higher amount.
4. Delivery
Delivery charges depend on your postcode zone and order value, and are shown before you pay. Full detail is on our delivery information page. Delivery times are estimates; we will contact you if there is a delay.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check your order on arrival and tell us about anything missing or damaged within 24 hours.
5. Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Where cash on delivery is offered, payment is due in full to the driver on arrival, and the order remains unpaid in our records until that payment is received.
6. Cancellation and returns
You may cancel an order from your account while it is still pending or confirmed. Your rights to return goods, and the exceptions that apply to perishable items, are set out in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Wholesale accounts
- Trade accounts are granted at our discretion and may require proof of business.
- Goods bought at trade prices are supplied for business use. Business customers do not have the same statutory cancellation rights as consumers.
- We may suspend or withdraw a trade account, in which case retail pricing applies from that point on.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability in connection with an order is limited to the price of that order. We are not liable for business losses such as lost profit where you are buying as a business.
9. Your statutory rights
If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
